Announcement Wrist Bands
With the ever increasing unemployment rate, we have decided to try and help people seeking employment.
Statistics show that in this tight economy, it pays to let people know you are looking for a job. Most hiring employers like the personal touch. With so many unemployed workers to choose from, a personal referral or personal conversation goes a long way in getting your foot in the door.
Therefore, we are introducing our Announcement Wrist Bands.
We designed these bands to be noticed. They are bright blue with bright white lettering.
The announcement on one side of the band is "I Need a Job - Hire Me".
The announcement on the other side of the band is "Ask Me What I Can Do".
We designed these Wrist Bands to get the conversation started. We want people to wear these wrist bands whenever they go out to start the conversation. We firmly believe that everyone knows someone who is either looking for a job or looking to hire someone. These announcement Wrist Bands are meant to break the ice and get the conversation going.
Ideas
Wear your Announcement Wrist Band whenever you are in public.
Wear short sleeve when practical. This makes the Wrist Bands more noticeable.
Put small pieces of paper with your name and contact info in your pocket or purse. You want to be ready when someone shows interest.
Put a little pad of paper and pen in your pocket or purse so you can write down the other person's contact info.
Think about what you will say when someone asks you about the job you are looking for and your qualification.
Role play the conversation with a friend or family member. You want to be confident and prepared.
Customer Testimonials
Donna L. says, "What a great idea. I began wearing my announcement band in early June. After being unemployed for nearly 18 months, I was willing to try anything. As it turned out, one of my son's softball coaches was looking for an Admin for his real estate office. Now I am at least working part time. Thanks so much."
Peggy G. says, "It is really sad that so many people are losing their jobs. Over a year ago, I lost my job of 20 years to an outsourcing firm. My job went oversea! My unemployment checks ran out and things were looking pretty desperate. Then good news, a friend of mine, bought me one of your announcement bands and two weeks later, standing in the line at a local drug store, someone noticed it and started a conversation with me. Turns out they have a sister-in-law with an opening for an office manager. I thought, I can do that job and applied for it. Yea, I now have a job!"
Mike K. says, "Hi ya'll. I just wanted to let you know how well your Need a Job wrist bands work. My wife bought me one on August 3rd. I am an auto mechanic and the place I worked for went out of business. We fixed RVs and the bad ecomony hurt our business. No one seems to be buying RVs anymore. So, I wore my wrist band to my 30 year class reunion and lots of people asked me about it. By the end of the night, I must have given your website name to at least 10 people. I don't have a job yet, but I am fixing some of my buddies cars and bringing in some money. I'm sure I will get a job soon, thanks"
Sara P. says, "Dear Orange County Creations, remember me? About a month ago, I bought 20 of your wrist bands and handed them out to friends at my church. I live in a small town in Georgia and we are hit pretty hard with the recession. Our church is trying to help people. We opened a Soup Kitchen and Pantry for some of our neighbors. But I thought that I can do more. So, I looked at the church bulletin and decided I would try to help some of the unemployed people find jobs. I passed out the 20 wrist bands I bought from you and 2 people found jobs. Now, I'm back to buy another 20 bands. I hope these work too!"
Nicole M. says, "Hi, I got my wrist band yesterday and I love it. It is bright blue and really gets noticed. I am excited that I now have a way to let people know I am looking for a job! BTW, this is better than wearing a Tshirt with "I NEED A JOB" on it, which was my first idea."
